Every government risk pool has carefully considered and implemented a governance process for the pool’s business. However, one area that may be receiving less than optimal governance attention is the investment process. With increasing complexity in financial markets, proper governance becomes even more important. What is considered to be governance ‘best practices’ for the investment process? How can you balance strategic decisions with efficient implementation and management of investments?
